The Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) has recently launched the new Training Tidbits sessions. This is a series of short programs on a variety of topics -- most readily associated with improving instruction and personality development.
Each session is approximately one hour long, intended for smaller, more intimate audiences. Sessions typically occur from 12:30 PM -1:30 PM, and from 4:00 PM-5:00 PM. The sessions also recur, allowing people who missed earlier classes to attend at an alternative schedule. The Training Tidbit sessions for the month of August are as follows:
August 19 -- Assertive Communication
August 24 -- Tips for using Powerpoint in instruction
August 31 -- the three different learning styles and why they matter.
Confirmation sheets will be distributed and attendance is purely voluntary. A training calendar will be released monthly. And participants are free to suggest alternative topics.
